ACC Liverpool is a unique facility – the only interlinking arena and convention centre complex under one roof in Europe. The BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena – as the two sides of the business are known – stand in an iconic modern building on Liverpool’s world famous Mersey waterfront, next to the Grade I listed Albert Dock, home to Tate Liverpool, the Beatles Story and numerous bars and restaurants.

In 2017, we have taken SOA on the road to Liverpool to widen the meetings catchment and to create a warmer and more user-friendly Conference. Improved Exhibition and Conference areas with better circulation and social spaces, intuitive geographic room names, and innovative features such as pop-up soapbox stages and even a music playlist. Our focus was to make the meeting a better experience for delegates, and the best way to find out if it worked is to ask those who came! Our user survey results are here.

In 2017 we will keep all the above and are also adding e-Posters and an ICS Members' Lounge. Watch this space for developments, and feel free to have your say via email or by Twitter.

Meeting and networking with colleagues is important and we want you to have a good time. As well as the annual Welcome reception, we'd like to help you enjoy yourself out of hours by joining us at the Conference Party (New to 2017).
