Professor Carol Hodgson is Head of the Division of Clinical Trials and Cohorts, School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, and Deputy Director of the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. She is a Specialist Physiotherapist in Intensive Care at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, with expertise in long-term functional recovery after critical illness. She leads international clinical trials in early rehabilitation and mechanical ventilation, and the national ECMO registry. She is passionate about multidisciplinary research to improve patient recovery.
