State of the Art 2019

Dr Chris van Tulleken graduated from Oxford in 2002. His training as an infectious disease doctor at UCLH has been extended by a PhD in molecular virology at UCL and by presenting television for the BBC, including the BAFTA winning Operation Ouch as well as a range of science and medicine programs for adults. He has worked for the humanitarian NGO Doctors of the World in Central African Republic, Myanmar and Pakistan. He failed to summit Cho Oyu with the Extreme Everest Research team in 2006, but experienced first hand high altitude intensive care for acute mountain sickness.
