500 X MARSH, Christopher

Chris is a CT2 Anaesthesia trainee in Mersey deanery, having graduated from The University of Manchester in 2018. An aviation enthusiast, he enjoys combining flying with medicine as a flight doctor for an aeromedical retrieval service based in the South of England.

Chris’ clinical interests include human factors and pre-hospital emergency medicine, and he recently obtained the Diploma in Immediate Medical Care of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Chris formerly chaired the junior division of the British Association for Immediate Care (BASICS) and received the organisation’s prestigious BASICS Award in 2016.

Chris is passionate about medical education, and his extensive involvement in teaching has led to the Membership of the Academy of Medical Educators. He also sits on the committee of the BMA’s Trafford division. When not in the operating theatre or flying, Chris spends his time avidly following Formula 1 and enjoying an eclectic variety of music.
