I have been practicing critical care pharmacy since 2003 and took my current post in March 2019. I currently lead a team of ten pharmacists and a pharmacy technician and between us we cover the 59 adult critical care beds in Cambridge. My particular interests include safe, effective use and stewardship of antimicrobials, the critical care interface of care and management of ICU delirium. I am keen to pursue a research career in ICU delirium.
I have been a member of the ICS for many years and joined originally to access professional support and development offered by the society. Today this sense feels stronger than ever and the support offered during the pandemic has been so very appreciated.
I am delighted to have been accepted onto the inaugural ICS Leadership Programme, which I am currently undertaking am confident that this will allow me to provide better support to my team, my peers, at a national level and for my own internal resilience.
