Dr Paolo Navalesi graduated cum laude in Medicine at the University of Genoa in 1984. In 1987 he went on to complete his Italian board certification in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at the University of Milan. He then went on to complete a Post-graduate Research Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine, Meakins-Christie Laboratories and Royal Victoria Hospital, McGill University, Montreal, Canada between 1992-1993.
Navalesi is the author of 233 papers listed in PubMed and has 5 patents to his name including one for a new artificial respiration system.
Paolo is also a successful lecturer un more than 200 courses of the National Committee for Continuous Medical Education (CME), and a fellow of the European Respiratory Society (FERS) for excellence in contributions to research, education, and clinical leadership.
