Jennie Wilson has worked in the field of infection prevention and control for over 30 years, as an infection control nurse specialist, consultant epidemiologist at Public Health England and academic. She is currently professor of Healthcare Epidemiology at the University of West London. She is an author of the Epic National Evidence-based Guidelines for Preventing HCAI in NHS Hospitals in England and, Infection Control in Clinical Practice. Her current research interests include the use of clinical gloves, surgical site infection and surveillance, urinary catheters and hydration of the frail elderly. Jennie is currently President of the Infection Prevention Society.
