John Myburgh has worked as an Intensive Care Physician in Australia since 1988. He has a leading national and international profile in education and research and was a foundation member and chair of the ANZICS CTG and President of the College of Intensive Care Medicine.
He is a fierce skeptic of all forms of dogma and fundamentalism – whether this is medical, societal or religious.
To quote Einstein : “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them”.
In his real life, he is an avid rower (both surf and still water), blues nut (Clapton is god),rugby union tragic, reader of military history, regular patron of the Sydney Theatre Company and enthusiastic consumer of Guinness and Australian wine.
