Lisa Nwankwo is a specialist antimicrobials pharmacist at the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals, part of Guys’ and St Thomas’ NHS Trust. She obtained her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in 1999 at the School of Pharmacy, University College London, UK and her Master’s degree in Clinical Microbiology from Nottingham University, UK in 2020. She has practiced as a clinical pharmacist for 22 years. She has specialised in infectious diseases since 2015, and was appointed as a clinical research fellow in 2020-21. Her academic works include several publications, abstracts and a book chapter. Her research interests include utilising big data analytics to identify disease risk factors and optimise therapeutic outcomes for patients with infectious diseases. She mentors and assists clinical pharmacists in obtaining their pharmacy registration or diploma in clinical pharmacy practise.
