My name is Mariam Amoran a Charge Nurse in Critical Care based at a busy London hospital. I have over 10 years’ experience in: General, Haematology, Oncology and Surgical care. Furthermore, recently I chair the Equality Diversity and Inclusion steering committee within the unit.
Having completed the Florence Nightingale Leadership programme, I managed a team of fifty nurses with the support of my fellow senior colleagues where we were recognised of our work in transforming staff experience within the unit. My current role is chair of the Units BAME group and a member of the Staff Wellbeing and Diversity Group.
I strongly believe in the importance of staff experience especially following the pandemic where numbers of healthcare workers were seen leaving the profession. My ultimate goal as a leader is to provide Equality, Diversity and Inclusion to all staff in order to avoid negative impact on our patients.
