Neresha Maistry is a South African trained Speech and Language therapist who has worked in the UK for the last 20 years, primarily in Acute Tertiary Hospitals. She is a Dysphagia Specialist therapist with significant experience in Videofluoroscopy and the management of patients in critical care, including tracheostomy management and FEES. She co-led on the development of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists service provision guidelines for Dysphagia in adults, was a committee member of Adult Acquired Dysphagia Clinical Excellence Network and is a graduate of NHS London’s Leadership Programme for AHP’s. She has presented her work at ESICM and ICS. She currently manages a multi-professional team within the Heart Division at the Royal Brompton Hospital and works clinically in intensive care.
