The Cauldron

Abstract submissions are now closed

The Intensive Care Society Trainee Committee are proud to present the latest edition of The Cauldron.

You are invited to submit an abstract on the following title - How you would train the ICM leaders of the future.

Last year we took you back, now we are asking you to take us forward... Tell us how you would train the ICM leaders of the future.

Describe your ideal training programme from medical school to CCT. How would we be assessed, what do we need to be taught, what would our working life look like? How would you produce ICM Consultants of the future who both love their job and their life, whilst meeting the needs of an ever changing population requiring ICM.

The top five highest scoring abstracts submitted in response to this title will be invited to give a presentation to a panel of critical care experts on the main stage at the State of the Art meeting on 29 June - 1 July.

Selected authors will have the opportunity to present their views over 15 minutes (10 minutes presentation, plus 5 minutes of Dragon discussion / grilling!). Get ready to enter the Dragon’s Lair! Instructions will be sent to the corresponding author after the review process.
